Jharkhand Academic Council (JAC), Ranchi has released the notification for the Jharkhand Teacher Eligibility Test (JHTET) 2026. Candidates who are interested in the JAC TET 2026 Examination for Primary Level (Class 1-5) and Junior Level (Class 6-8) can apply online from 21/04/2026 to 21/05/2026. JAC JHTET 2026: Eligibility Details

Primary Level (Class 1 to 5) |
- 10+2 Intermediate (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (B.T.C./D.El.Ed).
- OR 10+2 Intermediate with at least 45% marks and passed or appearing in 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (NCTE Norms).
- OR 10+2 Intermediate with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 4-year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed).
- OR 10+2 Intermediate with at least 50% marks and 2-year Diploma in Education (Special Education).
- OR Bachelor Degree with 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (B.T.C./D.El.Ed).

Junior Level (Class 6 to 8) |
- Bachelor Degree (or its equivalent) and passed or appearing in final year of 2-Year Diploma in Elementary Education (B.T.C./D.El.Ed).
- OR Bachelor Degree with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of B.Ed/L.T./Shiksha Shastri (Regular).
- OR Bachelor Degree with at least 45% marks and B.Ed (in accordance with NCTE Norms).
- OR 10+2 Intermediate with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 4-year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed).
- OR 10+2 Intermediate with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 4-year B.A/B.Sc.Ed or B.A.Ed/B.Sc.Ed.
- OR Bachelor Degree with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of B.Ed (Special Education).
- OR Master Degree with 55% Marks and 3 Year Integrated B.Ed-M.Ed Course.
